I'm trying to hunt down a Lory jacket in XL. Tried on a few size L (I can wear anywhere from a 10 to a 14..), and they definitely are a "contemporary/designer's" sizing, not a "women's" sizing. Slim through arms and shoulders, with more of a nipped waist. But so cute! If you are at all curvy anywhere, just go up a size.

I wanted to buy a coat one last year, I truly adore their coats they are soooo stylish, but they didn't have my size normally I wear a large but when I tried a large on in this particular brand I struggled to zip it up so I was Bummed when I couldn't buy it because it was too small, I LOVED that coat. Now yesterday I bought a houndstooth wool jacked and to my suprise they had it in a XL!! I still felt quite snug but at least I was able to zip it up this time...so needless to say I was HAPPY!!! In my opinion this brand runs small.

Hi Jackie, I didn't buy a coat (I just tried them on, they were too expensive to buy), so I'm afraid I can't tell you about the feather stability. Sorry!

Hi! Ive been looking on their site and the coats look gorgeous. Im planning on buying the down coat, but could you please tell me if feathers ended up poking through the lining and attaching to your sweater or clothes. I've had that happen to me in the past in other jackets, and am worried that this will do the same. I definitely dont want that happening to me again.

Lori, the sizes run average. I normally wear a size 4, and the small fit me snugly (but well).

Their insulated coats are VERY warm!

Can you tell me if their coats run small or large - I'm going to purchase one for my daughter who is very petite - size 0 - and I want to be sure I get her the right size, which I guess would be an XS. I'm afraid she's going for style over warmth too, she's in the mountains in Boone, NC. I love the first two!

Thanks!

i've got a light spring/fall coat of theirs i love and am considering a winter purchase although it would be much more fivolous. their sort of take on a houndstooth pattern for a waist length, large sleeved, large necked double breasted coat.

beautiful!

Well, whatever you decide to accessorize your outfits with is your choice! I was thinking a nice handbag myself, but a knife will do!

those are fabulous - i love the first two. and i love that even the sensible option is still really stylish. i always choose the sassy option and then pay for it by freezing to death :->
