Life + Health

It’s like living in a log cabin.

Our modem died.

We are likely going to be internet-less until the weekend. As in, FIVE DAYS FROM NOW.

Pray for me.

(If you’re waiting for an email from me, please be patient!)

ah, well, bet you’re glad now that you’ve got that TV 🙂

you’ll be shaky at first, but after a few hours, you’ll actually feel relaxed. I think.

oh wow…no internet is a strange feeling at first.
but once you get past the withdrawals you may enjoy it!

Oh, good luck! Of course with an older home we both know there is always SOMETHING to do.

You will feel fine, at first. You will find other things to keep busy and congratulate yourself on your ability to survive sans-Internet for more than a few hours in the 21st century.
But as a day or two go by, you will go through a difficult period of withdrawal. Some shaking and vomiting might be involved. You will need support from your loved ones. May I suggest keeping a bucket by your bed at night.
As the 5 day period draws to an end, you will begin to recover and find solace in food – which will most probably NOT be of the fat-free, veggie variety. You ought to stock up on milk and booze to help wash the muffins and cakes down.
    My prayers are with you.

Oh, I will be praying for you too because I know how frustrating it is not to have internet access at home. What did we used to do before internet?

By the way, I found your blog via your house tour on Apartment Therapy. You have done an amazing job!

“Please be patient, because it could be a few years. More than likely, you’re never going to hear from me at all.”

Yeah, I really only have an excuse for this week, I realize that!! 😛
