I got that bag for my birthday! AND I liked it so much I bought myself the matching wallet. I love it, but mine has a magnet closure instead of the zipper and things always fall out when I lean over.

But I always get compliments on it. Congrats on your awesome purchase!

When I was in London a while ago (for like 2 days) going to her store was the only thing on the must do list. I scored a bag there for about half off. I love it.

Good luck with the bathroom and backyard projects!

Ok, it makes sense now. The stone surely is beautiful. I would still put a small area of resistent grass there - you don´t have to water it, if you don´t want it to look perfect.
I´m sorry, but I guess the garden just seems too "tidy" for my taste :-). But those ornamental grasses are great.

Jana: There's no concrete in that photo at all, actually -- it's bluestone pavers and crushes granite gravel. There's a huge difference in the feeling of natural stone versus concrete or cement. Anyway, I don't really have any use for a grassy garden. It's a small city lot, and it doesn't get a lot of light. I'd much rather be growing plants and vegetables! :) I also want to be conscious of my water consumption, and attempting to maintain a grassy plot isn't the best use of resources.

Lindsay: I hear you! But we've been working on OUR WHOLE HOUSE (inside and out) for two years now, and the garden just keeps getting put off because we're so busy doing other stuff. I don't want to wait any longer -- it's wasted space that we could be using and enjoying! We'll most likely wind up doing (at the very least) the planting ourselves, though, and hiring a landscaper to take down a tree, build new stairs, grade things properly, and bring in the gravel.

Marilyn: You can see what the inside looks like here! :)

Oh what a lovely bag! Consider doing the garden yourself... I know it probably looks daunting, but really...my husband and I took on a demo and landscaping re-do two years ago and it looks lovely. We've put in over 300 hundred plants, before this we only owned one houseplant. Ha! He read a book on concrete pouring and did a lovely job on that part too. And it will save you thousands and thousands!

I like the bag, but I have to say, I´m not really fan of that garden... the plants are great, but there´s somehow too much concrete. On the other hand, it´s great that you don´t have to care about garden like this too much (cut the grass etc.).
