The black false shamrock looks amazing! I've always loved non-green plants.

I wish I could spend more time outdoors in the sun. We've been having really great weather in the area, but my medication makes me very sun sensitive. :(

Oh! I love the clover! I was having such a hard time choosing shade plants for my window boxes. I am positive that would have looked darling mixed in.

Ah well. Next year!

Nicole: My pots (inside the house and out) all come from IKEA! I know it's a ridiculous schlep for you to get there, but they have really excellent, well-priced pots there -- the selection is better in the summer, but they stock them all year round.

Adam: That depends which neighbors you're wondering about. ;) Hmmm. Let's try to keep the blog POSITIVE! Go, Newburgh!

wonderful plant choices! and you've managed to find some really nice containers (not that easy among the terra cotta wastelands).

and i know exactly what you mean. even though i am now witnessing just how much plants can grow each and every day, i still find that my impatience and plant-buying addiction could result in something more resembling a overrun rain forest eden than a manageable garden. i already think i have underestimated possible spread in my existing garden plans.

by the way - your front porch and street look deliciously picturesque.
