Oops, WPZ, I missed your question! Yes, we are going with a mixer tap — I can’t deal with separate basin taps, it’s horrible. I grew up in an old house and thought I could handle stuff like that, but I can’t!

Anna – we got it in the silver. I was very, very tempted by the Petrol (what a gorgeous, rich shade of teal) but I was afraid it would be too dark and would require a total reworking of all our bedroom furniture, linens, etc.

I love all of Ferm Living’s offerings, though. If I had a little powder room I’d love to do it in the black branch pattern. Dramatic!

We ordered Ferm Living’s Family Tree wallpaper in silver for our bedroom and I can’t wait to see it put up. Their wallpapers are so gorgeous (love the one you chose for your bathroom too).

I too love the feeling of refurbishing something old that is still structurally sound and pleasing. We took off all our bedroom door and closet doorknobs and had them replated. They have such a charming shape and they look so nice all freshened up! Visitors might not exclaim over the door hardware but we appreciate them.

BTW noticed on the old sink it was separate hot and cold taps — are you going to merge it? I had a sink like that once and I hated it… water too hot, water too cold, and how do you get it warm except filling the sink (which in our gross shared SF house, no way).

Kyle, yes, I'm putting it up myself. I did my vestibule with my mother a while back as well. It's not hard! Just time-consuming if you have a lot of doors or windows to go around.
