I have three of these chairs for sale in new jersey if anyone is interested. They need to be sandblasted as the paint is peeling on them. When I got them they were rusty and peeling and I havent restored them yet.

Great find! They are waaaay more comfortable wearing their bikini’s….combats grid-butt. Couldn’t be too hard to make, they could each sport a different suit.

I have to wonder: do you wake up in the mornings sometimes and pinch yourself because your house/renovation job/amazing furniture are all so lovely and wonderful that you can’t believe that they’re all yours?

Zee: I don’t know where they’ll wind up, it depends on how well the repair work goes in the broken one. If it comes out fully durable, I’ll use them at the dining table in place of the current ones. Otherwise, they’ll be scattered throughout the house.

Also, I love the Non-Random light, but unless I win the lottery… ;)

Gosh, they’re gorgeous, and I also agree that they look much better nude. Although if you wanted a custom bikini cover, you could always try your hand at making your own. So where will these beauts go, have you decided? With the rest of the Eames troop in the dining room? I think Bertjan Pot’s Random light in black would complement their gothic shadowy-ness perfectly.

WP-Z: There are some great custom bikini pads here, but no Missoni, sadly! I can see having a set made in soft, gray wool, but $550 is more than I want to spend right now.

Sam: There are chairs ALL OVER my house — on the front porch, in the back garden, the hallway, the living room, the dining room, the bedroom, the office, the dressing room…and so on. There are even some in the basement awaiting repairs/reupholstery.

It’s a bit much, yes, but I can’t help myself.
