kelly w: i did this a few years ago, so i’m guessing there are easier/better solutions now (like USB turntables). i used a RCA to 1/8 cable from the turntable to an iMic and then into the computer via USB. then i recorded it with final vinyl, and if i remember correctly, i changed the format in iTunes. it’s not the ideal option for converting vinyl to MP3 but it’s cheap and does the job.

Ahh, I love love love it! I have no idea what is being said… but it makes me want to dance around my living room (especially the Julpotpurri Lekar song!) lol. Thanks so much Anna, great gift!

What a nice gift! However, the downloading link is no longer working :(

Glorioski, this is great. To this day, i can’t sing a christmas song without working in the accompaniment from the versions I knew as a kid. ba-bum-ba-bo-bum You know what I mean. This is what it’s all about. ♥

Fila 11: I just tested the link, and it seems to be working just fine! After clicking, you need to enter the 4-letter code, then wait for the 25-second countdown. When it gets to 0, click on “regular download” — you shouldn’t have any trouble! :)

Thank you Anna ! I will certainly download this tonight (I am at work for the moment… ;-)
And I can totally relate – my family has this tape from the 70′s with Christmas songs in German (recorded by the ‘Fischer Chöre’) and I could not imagine having Christmas without it.
Your post also reminds me to have it transferred to a digital format for the enjoyment of the next generation :-)

Anna, this is great! Thanks so much for uploading it. A few of these songs are familiar to me, though I know them in German. It’s great to hear different versions and in a different language. I’ve added these songs to my Christmas mega-mix!

Thank you! I’m learning Swedish at the moment, so I really enjoy this to try to learn some words. God Jul!
