Four Legs

Bruno & Fritz.

In case I don’t say it enough, I love these guys. Even though they bark every time they hear the elevator open (and every time they think they hear the elevator open, too). I love them even though they put up a struggle every time they have to go out for a walk. And even though they take up so much bed space that I sometimes wind up sleeping with one leg on the floor.

Bruno and Fritz are the best. How I ever existed without either of them in my life is unfathomable.

Dogs are funny that way. I have no idea how I lived for so long without mine!

Where did you find those sweaters?

  • Reply Jody January 29, 2010 at 10:43 am

I needed that… thanks. They are too much!

  • Reply Tuesday January 29, 2010 at 10:58 am

what?? Most dogs love to go on walks!
Those sweaters are utterly adorable, and I’m sure you’ll get lots of oohs and ahhs over the boys if they wear them while out on a walk.

I am in love with their harnesses – I have the hardest time fitting my chihuahua and his barrel chest.

I don’t know how I lived before I got my dog too. His first birthday is next month! Just got him a buddy belt too. He is a pug and it is the best harness I ever got him. No matter how stressed I am, I just pet him and all is right with the world.

I always complain about my dogs, but am like you. They are my babies

  • Reply yolanda January 29, 2010 at 12:24 pm

I love the way they are rocking that MichelleO cardi/belt look!

  • Reply Martina January 29, 2010 at 12:29 pm

Bruno & Fritz are totally adorable …I love them too! We have two Bichons…Oscar & Sadie and I feel EXACTLY the same about them..O&S are twins (the only two in the litter) and I think they are roughly the same age as Bruno (they will be 7 in April). Funny how such little creatures take up so much space in bed…wish they would learn to sleep parallel to us rather than perpendicularly (is that a word??). B&F and O&S forEVER!

Awww! Loving the jolly roger sweater.

Have a fun weekend with your little scallywags 🙂

I’m the same way with my cats… I have to vacuum constantly cos of their fur and even though I complain about it, I couldn’t live without them 🙂 Love their sweaters! My MIL put her Bichon Frises in sweaters and their cuteness went up a couple notches hehe

  • Reply Becca January 29, 2010 at 12:40 pm

I feel the exact same way about my dogs–2 mutts that weigh about 60+ lbs each and sleep in the bed with my husband and me every night. We are constantly fighting for covers and space, but I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

  • Reply Mark January 29, 2010 at 12:46 pm

What kind of harnesses are they wearing? I am looking for a new alternative for my pug (who pulls a lot while walking)

  • Reply annette January 29, 2010 at 1:14 pm

oohh…Anna, Fritz has the same sweater as my chihuahua!

Anna, I think you are just the best.

I feel that way about my cats, even though they’ve destroyed my sofa and I have to have two-sided tape on every piece of furniture in the house to deter scratching.

Wow. My two little yappers are the same way. But I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have them to alert me to potential (they have many, many, many false alarms) to action. Love the sweaters!

  • Reply Raspberry Swirly January 29, 2010 at 4:06 pm

Okay…that skull sweater is tied for cutest thing I’ve seen in the span of five minutes.

  • Reply donna January 29, 2010 at 4:39 pm

Mark, the harnesses appear to be Buddy Belts. They are expensive but definitely worth it. I have one for my bostie.

Beautiful beautiful dogs. I remember you had problems with them chewing up your furniture a while back but do you mind me asking, how are you getting on with the long-haired dogs on gorgeous textiles conundrum? Do your dogs shed much hair? My dog is in great health, brushed regularly and I love him to bits, but the lovely Ikea Skicka Blanket is more Irish mutt than Swedish sheep at this stage even though he’s not supposed to be allowed near it.

Thanks for reminding me that the goodness outweighs all else..I was thinking I could never ever get another cat, but maybe one day it will happen again (in the meantime I have chatty Isha waking me up 10 times through the night, and meowing like she’s irritated if I pet her at the wrong time but she’s sweet and adorable and when she plunks her heavy dense body onto my chest at night and lets me pet her head, none of that other stuff matters).

  • Reply Adele January 30, 2010 at 3:11 pm

Oh please share where you got the skull sweater – my little maltese tobi would love one.
I love your blog when you feature your gorgeous dogs x

Those are the two best dog names EVAR. Our daughter named our Boston Terrier, Cherry. When we thought we would prefer something else, she said, “Fine. You call her what you want and I’ll call her, Cherry.” -in such a nice way though, like she (4 years old then) was really trying to be helpful =)

  • Reply lindsay January 31, 2010 at 8:04 am

It’s cold here and our pup requires a couple LONG walks each day. My husband thinks the sweaters are ridiculous, but her coat is short right now, I figure she has to be cold. I wish I could find a sweater that would grow with her. Yours are so stylish!

Hey Anna, Love the cute black and white throw on the bed… where can it be bought? Bruno’s cute too, of course!… and Fritz!

    Thanks

  • Reply Anna at D16 February 1, 2010 at 9:46 am

I guess I should just always include a product list with my posts!

The skull sweater is from Kwigy-Bo.
The striped sweater is from Target.
    The harnesses are Buddy Belts.
The blanket is from Crate & Barrel.

With the exception of the Buddy Belts, all of these items were purchased 1-6 years ago, so I don’t know what’s still available.
