Four Legs

My furry Valentines.

Lazy days. Watching the Olympics, drinking tea, folding laundry, and staying up late. All of these things meet with the approval of Fritz and Bruno.

For those of you who aren’t going to work tomorrow (it’s Presidents Day in the U.S.), what do you plan to do with your day off?

Love that chair! I’ve picked up a couple of nice wood frame ones I’m thinking of getting reupholstered in grey – I’ve never been sure if the wood and grey looks good together – you’ve proved to me it does!

My little pup doesn’t jump up and sleep there like yours do tho!

I must slog through an interminable and superlate manuscript (= book editor in NYC), but I wish I were just working on my apartment! Hi, doggies! (Oh, and where can you get that Moz sweater?) Happy Monday!

I wasn’t lucky enough to get the day off so I’ll be in a sleepy daze all day at work.

  • Reply Leya February 15, 2010 at 12:05 pm

Family day up here but I’m (d’oh) writing a speech for work. At least I can write it at home in my pyjamas, wrapped in a blanket, drinking tea.

  • Reply Alicia February 15, 2010 at 12:23 pm

Well, since I watched an episode of Hoarders last night, it’s full on closet reorganization/purging-donating and getting big buckets of boiling water + cleaning solutions to clean up various nooks and crannies of my 100+ year old house.

First I made cranberry orange scones for my beloveds, since I didn’t have to race out the door.

Oh my goodness what a gorgeous chair. The hubby and I will be taking the kids for a nice long winter walk for family day – then Olympics and more Olympics! Go Canada! 🙂

Today’s a lazy catch-up day, which means mostly lying in bed reading thru my blog list, going thru stockpiled mags and making tear sheets, and organizing/filing said tear sheets. I love when I can combine lazy and productive into the same day. 🙂

New commentor, just thought I’d say hi. Found you via apartment therapy a while back, adorable pic of the dogs!

I work from home generally, but am taking today to relax and tidy up my office, which is pretty much my idea of a good time. : )

    Hi Anna,

Im not really a dog lover so the first thing I notice in this photo is your nice Danish chair… May I ask you a question about those chairs? I recently bought a set of 4 mid-century Dutch (Cees Braakman) dining chairs and I wonder if you have some tips for me about how you treated the woodwork? Right now my chairs are polished with some reddish wax, which makes it look like cherry wood. I would like to get that off and show the original colour of the wood, which I think is similar to that of your chairs!

    Thank you!

Hey, part-time neighbor! We went up to Newburgh to start working on our house. The city was beautiful in the snow, even though that meant our house was freeezing. Hope all is well!

  • Reply Anna at D16 March 4, 2010 at 6:07 am

I don’t know if “ale” is serious, but either way, s/he has some personal anger issues that would probably be better served in therapy than by berating other people under a veil of anonymity.

I will never understand how people can behave like that, in person or online.

    Oh well.
