Friends + Family + I Love the Internet + I Want This

My “it list” is up at sfgirlbybay!

If you’ve been wanting to buy me an extravagant gift for no reason but aren’t sure where to start, look no further: My “it list” of wants is now posted over at sfgirlbybay! Victoria was kind enough to ask me to share a list 12 things that I desire most right now, and I was happy to oblige.

Go take a look! (And be sure to give me a heads-up before the SMEG refrigerator is delivered, okay?)

p.s. Have you seen Victoria’s new dark gray bedroom wall? Too perfect.

Anna, not to make you sick or anything, but my local Home Goods had a SMEG refrigerator in black with a freezer on top, very retro looking, which eventually went on sale for $500. Mebbe you might find one down in your neck of the woods! This was a couple of months ago, but you never know!

OH GEEZ!! I didn’t even know Home Goods sells appliances! I thought they just sold mismatched towels and wicker tables. (I’ve only been there once, can you tell?)

      $500!!! That is insane. Sigh…

They usually don’t sell appliances, which is why I think this started at $1000 and ultimately sat there until it sold at $500. I wonder if a call to them to see if they can search other stores might bring one up? Sometimes they have really unusual things in there such as an enormous brick patio bar/grill/refrigerator that it takes heavy equipment to move. Darned if I know where they get stuff. I sometimes buy spices and salt and stuff there.

Hello Anna, love your product choices – re the string shelving, IKEA do a wall unit called EKBY GÄLLÖ (or at least they do here in the UK) – add some bespoke walnut shelves and hey presto – perhaps?

    • Anna @ D16 April 14, 2011 at 9:38 am

The design of the original String shelf is what I love, though. They’re so perfectly made—I’m patient, I’ll hold out for the real thing. 🙂

Hi Anna! If you are trying out different cold brewed coffee methods, I highly recommend you try the Toddy cold brew coffee maker. I have one and I adore it!

Ha! When I read “music room” and “fabric” together quickly I thought you said:

“my husband and i are turning an extra bedroom into a music room (for him!), and i’d love to see this bold, bright STEPHEN MALKMUS fabric stretched and hanging on the wall.”

Ha! I was thinking, he has been living in Portland too long if he is doing music and fabric. Better get on those new glasses!!! 😉

    • Anna @ D16 April 18, 2011 at 5:24 pm

      I don’t get it! Who’s Stephen Malkmus?

    • Pistachio April 18, 2011 at 8:32 pm

Oh! Sorry, he was the lead singer in Pavement! 🙂

    Hey Anna,

I don’t know if you’re doing any work with non-profits, but I thought this might be interesting if you are, or if you want to…
