Weekend scavenging finds.

Today we went to pick up a pretty credenza we found on Craigslist (you can see a detail photo of the woven front here) for a great price. It’s in just about perfect condition, and has obviously been well taken care of over the past half-century. It’s such a good feeling to bring something home that doesn’t need any work done to it! The color and grain of the wood is very nice—unfortunately, this photo is dark and grainy and doesn’t show it off very well.

We stopped at a few yard sales on the way home, but didn’t find anything interesting other than this sweet little yellow vase. I’d been looking for a yellow ceramic piece to put in the bathroom, and I think this will be just right.

Does it say “Heath” on the bottom? It looks like it might be although the color is very unusual for Heath. From Sausalito. My parents bought it in the 40′s. It’s still going. Let me know! Love your blog . . . .
