Music + Movies + Books

Nothing really matters…but moi.

This has nothing to do with anything, but it did improve my Tuesday considerably: “Bohemian Rhapsody”, as performed by The Muppets. YES. I had no idea such a thing existed. I may need to watch this every morning for the rest of my life.

I found it while looking for Prince’s guest appearance on Muppets Tonight from 1997 (check out those screen caps!). I couldn’t find the whole episode, sadly, but I did find the awesome intro (embedding disabled, sorry). p.s. Yesterday was Prince’s 52nd birthday. Happy belated!

i love that O(+> was on the muppets. you may- just MAY find video kicking around on the org (but then again that place is not for the faint-hearted).

this also reminds me that michael k frith stopped into my work the other day. michael. k. frith. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_K._Frith) i have never been starstruck in my life, but when he showed up i recognized him immediately and nearly died. one of my all-time idols on this planet. one of the coolest moments of my life. he designed dr. teeth, for chrissakes!

love this! i went on a bit of queen bender this past winter. i went from reading all of the “twilight” series, to girl-crushing on kristen stewart, to reading up on “the runaways”, to listening to lots of joan jett, to, somehow, segueing into queen and reading everything i could about freddie mercury. glad to see the muppets have some queen love, as well!

i love your blog (but don’t check in frequently enough, obviously, since i just saw this posting). here is the full muppets tonight video (with swedish(?) subtitles but plenty of prince)… http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=22721159

oddly, it’s missing the intro that you have here!
