Snow-induced motivation.

As you’ve probably heard many times over by now, we got a whole bunch of snow in the Northeast over the weekend. The Hudson Valley wasn’t hit as hard as areas north, but we did get about 10″ by the time it was done on Sunday. It was enough that we weren’t able to travel to New Jersey for Hanukkah as planned, so I instead spent the weekend trying to get as much work as possible done in the long-neglected back room. It is now my mission to have that room FINISHED (as in fully painted—including the floor—and furniture moved in) by the last day of the year.

I think I can do it, and I’m counting on the weather keeping me motivated. Don’t melt, snow!

What an amazing scene up top – is that nearby? I have a love/ hate relationship with snow. Mostly because I hate driving in it. But it is so pretty.

Great, this snow! I can imagine that some people feel different about it, but I wished it would be like that in here! There will be some ice later this week so perhaps we’ll be able to skate, but snow makes it looks great, outside!!
