Way back in the day I stumbled upon Absolutely Vile and thought that I had found a kindred spirit. Life got in the way of my blog reading and when I went back to check up on you found that AV to be no more. Now, some time later I stumbled upon D16 and am thrilled to find you are in a new home, virtual and real. Enjoy your time away from the blog, but do come back soon.

Ok, I’m loving your blog. I just spent the last 1/2 hour reading through many of your posts. I am in the middle of a house project in upstate NY and just uncovered wood floors that are in less than pristine condition. I’ve toyed with the idea of painting them white and you’ve given me the inspiration to go ahead and do it. I absolutely love the look, but wasn’t sure of the practicality. I guess I’m throwing caution to the wind.

Enjoy your break. Love the blog and check on it frequently. We purchased a fixer-upper in Richmond, VA about two weeks ago. We’re still in the “demo” stage and pulling paneling and wallpaper. You’re the inspiration behind my decision to keep the windows. I can only hope to do as good of a job on them as you did on yours.
This is one of my favorite blogs. Been checking it everyday and I miss it very much. Have a great vacation Anna – we miss you!
Miss you and your wonderful blog. I know it’s hard and you should take the time you need – it’s been over a year for me. Some days are good, some days it just comes over me in a huge wave and it’s all I can do to breathe. It doesn’t go away, but it gets easier. Take care of yourself!
